BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - May 14, 2016 - PRLog -- High School Juniors Ethan Locker, Sean MacKinney and Derek Madzey worked together in April collecting over 175 pounds of food for the Food Bank Network. The Network in Bound Brook, NJ serves over 1350 families and individuals in Somerset County at risk of hunger. Families often find themselves in the position of needing additional food especially during the summer months when students are home and school are closed.

The Bridgewater boys passed out flyers in their neighborhoods and returned 2 weeks later to collect donations. They have been friends and teammates for over 10 years and wanted to do something for the community.

All 3 boys play for the Bridgewater-Raritan HS Lacrosse Team and did this service between school work, daily practice, rigorous games and preparing for the ACT/SAT exams.

"It was a great experience and felt good to do something for others. Sean, Derek and I also had a lot of fun doing it." Said Ethan Locker, 17.

The boys will plan to do something together again in the fall.
