Tony Award winning poet Georgia Me to perform in lineup hosted by Jill Scott

ATLANTA - May 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Award winning poet and spoken word artist Georgia Me will be performing in a lineup featuring other guest poets and artists hosted by Grammy Award winning superstar Jill Scott. Words & Sounds: Poetry & Soulful Vibes will take place May 31^st at 8 p.m. at 595 North Event Center located at 595 North Ave. NW.

Georgia Me who started her career as a teenager has been very instrumental in the city of Atlanta where she hosts her annual week-long Tamika Festival in which she pays tribute and homage to those who are making positive impacts both in the spoken word and celebrity communities.

To credit, Georgia Me, born Tamika Harper has performed on Def Poetry Jam TV, HBO Def Poetry Jam, Verses&Flow, The Today Show, MTV, BET Lyric Café, The Carson Daily Show and the Monique Show.

"I love to perform. It always gives me life to be able to get on stage and perform for a crowd. You never know what emotions you may spark out of your crowd." said Harper.

Georgia Me will be performing alongside featured artists Hank Stewart, Abyss, Red Storm, Tommy Bottoms, Focusatl, Queen Sheba and others.
