OXNARD, Calif. - May 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Women and What We Love, a fundraising event organized by Mayerson Marketing &Public Relations, proudly raised more than $21,000 in benefit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme and its 9,200 youth, exceeding last year's proceeds by almost $3,000. The event, which was held on 25 of April at the Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar, was attended by more than 100 guests from across the county and featured over 65 silent and live auction items, premium wines, gourmet small plates, desserts, goodie bags and live music. Funds were raised through tickets live and silent auctions, raffles, youth sponsorships and donations.

Live and silent auction items include vacation getaways, gift certificates to local restaurants, beauty products, accessories and more.

The event has marked significant growth since the inaugural fundraiser three years ago, which raised about $14,000. All proceeds go directly to support the Boys & Girls Club's programs which are free to members. Their programs promote music and the arts, character and leadership and technology as well as provide resources for children, teens and parents.

"We're so pleased that we far exceeded last year's total because every dollar really makes a difference for the Club and its members. This was such a labor of love for all of those involved," said Nancy Mayerson, event sponsor and organizer. "We are beyond grateful to Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar, our gracious volunteers and all those who donated."

Sponsors included Bridal Premiere, Montecito Bank & Trust, CBC Federal Credit Union, Nothing Bundt Cakes-Ventura, Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar and Edible Ojai and Ventura County.
