"VR Rush Hour: Austin" Virtual reality traffic simulator released for Austin Don't Rush Day

AUSTIN, Texas - May 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Put on your virtual reality headset and experience Austin traffic like you were really there. Austin company, Globotix Industries, has developed a VR simulation of Austin rush hour just in time for Mayor Adler's Austin Don't Rush Day on May 11th 2016.

"We made this VR app because we were really frustrated with Austin traffic and we wanted to do something to address the issue. When I heard about Mayor Adler's Don't Rush Day, I called the Mayor's Office and said we want to help. Now, instead of sitting in traffic on I-35 in your car, you can sit in traffic on I-35 from the comfort of your own home" said founder and principal, Zeke Brill.

With Uber and Lyft leaving Austin after the failure of Prop 1 to pass, the city must look to the tech sector for new solutions to our public transporation issues. VR Rush Hour: Austin is likely just one of many new apps being created to fill the vacuum created by Uber and Lyft's departure.

The developer, Globotix Industries, is a creative technology studio run by Austin local, Zeke Brill, that specializes in games and virtual reality applications.

"VR Rush Hour: Austin" is available for free on the Google Play Store. Users need a Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, or Note 5, and a Samsung Gear VR Headset to use the app.
