FORT MYERS, Fla. - May 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Fort Myers-based hospitality recruitment company Gecko Hospitality is proud to announce its North Carolina franchisee Brian Blum, CPC has been honored by SearStone as the Ageless Hero Person of the Year. Launched by SearStone, a continuing care retirement community located in North Carolina, the Ageless Hero Awards program honors individuals and organizations that provide exemplary service to Wake County seniors.

Blum, who has been with Gecko Hospitality for 10 years, serves as the volunteer organizer for Memory Café, a place that provides a safe and welcoming environment for people with Alzheimer's or other dementia, as well as their caregivers. The project involves five local Rotary Clubs and the support of Alzheimer's NC and the Town of Cary. Blum has also recently embarked on a heroic venture as he ran in the 2016 Boston Marathon to raise money for Dana Farber and Cancer Research.
