THE DC Board of Barber and Cosmetology Grants First Conference Authority to Distribute CEU Credits

WASHINGTON - May 10, 2016 - PRLog -- The DC Board of Barber and Cosmetology approved its first conference to issue Continuing Education Units (CEU), at this months board meeting. It was decided that attendees who successfully complete any of the 5 pre-approved classes at The Real Beauty Business Conference, will receive CEU credits towards their 6 required hours.

The Real Beauty Business Conference is slated to take place July 24-25, 2016, at the historic Thurgood Marshall Center Trust, in Washington, DC.

"Our team is elated by the board's decision to allow our instructors to offer individuals in the beauty industry the tools to establish a sound business foundation, while also providing participants with their CEU credits." says Roxan Kerr, the organizer of The Real Beauty Business Conference and founder of The Beauty Lawyer. In the nations capitol, beauty professionals are required to renew their barber and cosmetology license annually, and one of the requirements entails completing six-hours of continuing education credits. Of the 6 required hours 2 must be in health, safety, and/or welfare subjects, while the other 4 must be in general elective courses.
