Halff Associates Announces Opening Tyler, Texas, Office and Hiring New Branch Manager

TYLER, Texas - May 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation's leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, announces today that the firm has opened an office in Tyler, Texas, at 1121 ESE Loop 323, Suite 117.  The firm is expanding its reach to better serve its public and private clients in the East Texas region.  Currently, Halff is providing transportation design, surveying, right of way, environmental, and water resources services to clients in the region such as the Texas Department of Transportation and Enbridge.

Bill Hicks, PE, joins Halff as Vice President and Branch Manager of the new Tyler office.  He is an 18-year veteran of the engineering industry, having served in both the public and private sectors.  Mr. Hicks started his career at the Texas Department of Transportation in the Tyler District Design Office and later joined a private consulting firm in Tyler where he continued to manage transportation projects as well as site development projects for municipal, commercial, and military clients.

Mr. Hicks received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Louisiana Tech University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.  He is an active member of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Surface Transportation Committee and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He also serves on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization and volunteers at his local church.
