-- Texas Comic Fest returns with an all-star cast of comic book creators, professional cosplay artists and amazing vendors. This year's event will include the first "Sketchin' For Autism" silent auction where sketch covers drawn by major comic book artists will be auctioned off to benefit Bustin' For Autism.
Texas Comic Fest will be held on May 14, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Premier Event Center in Lewisville Texas. The Premier Event Center is a 30,000 square foot convention center located at 1165 South Stemmons Freeway, Lewisville, TX 75067.
The event is described as a one-day celebration of comic books and pop culture in North Texas, and what would a celebration be without guests of honor? Attending the event are Mike Zeck (artist, Captain America, Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars, Batman), Chris Roberson (Vertigo's Fables and co-creator of iZombie), John Beatty (artist, Captain America, Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars, Batman), Tim Seeley (writer Grayson, Suicide Squad, Hack\Slash, Nightwing), Mike W. Barr (writer, Detective Comics, Batman and the Outsiders, Katana), Steve Orlando (writer, Midnighter, Supergirl) and Darryl Banks (DC Comics Green Lantern).
Additional entertainment guests include Mel Renfro (former Dallas Cowboy, Hall of Fame member), Gene Snitsky (WWE Superstar, appearing on behalf of Bustin' For Autism), Tugg the Wonder Dog (celebri-dog)
, Mika Nicole (actress, stunt woman, cosplay artist) and Gareth West (voice actor, cosplay artist).
