Douglas Jimerson and Civil War Comrades Perform for History Day in Poolesville, MD, Sat. 5/7/16

Douglas Jimerson is renowned for his performances and vocal interpretation of music of 19th century America. From the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall, Jimerson has received rave reviews. Douglas Jimerson and the Civil War Comrades have many recordings of Civil War music, including many recordings of Abraham Lincoln's favorite music. The ensemble sings and performs on guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and hammered dulcimer. Jimerson will provide historical background about the songs during the performance.
