Metro Vancouver Residents Encouraged to Make Trip to N Van to help Fort McMurray Victims Thursday

NORTH VANCOUVER, British Columbia - May 5, 2016 - PRLog -- With tens of thousands of Fort McMurray, Alberta residents displaced due to wildfires, people across the country and around the world are looking for ways to help.

Metro Vancouver residents are encouraged to come out between 9am and 7pm Thursday May 5, 2016. Bring Toiletries, baby diapers, wipes etc and Non Perishable food items.. Please no clothes or furniture as we are filling a 26 foot truck and want to deliver essential, imediate need items at this time. Gift cards are accepted.

The Uhaul truck is being provided by Uhaul and Canadian Relocation Specialists president will be driving the truck personally to the emergency centre to deliver the items. Kary Movers Ltd is assisting with logistics and other staff & volunteers and some transportation costs. The public is also being encouraged to drop off Gift Cards or Certificates for Fuel Stations to assist with the estimated $800. in fuel that will be required to drive the truck there and back. We are hopeful that the public will come out in a big way and we will have to make at least two trips which we are willing to do if required.
