Summer Concert Series Returns to Destin, Florida for their 21st Season

DESTIN, Fla. - May 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation presents the 21^st Annual Concerts in the Village series every Thursday evening at 7:00pm from May 5^th through June 30^th, 2016. Nine local and regional music acts will perform throughout the 9-week concert series. Each week a variety of genres can be heard. Musical sounds from Motown, rhythm & blues, jazz and funk to classic and modern rock will be performed on the outdoor stage.

This year's concert series will showcase a collection of tribute bands playing music from legends such as: Santana, Joe Cocker, Journey and Johnny Cash. The venue opens at 6:00pm with the entertainment starting promptly at 7:00pm. Attendees can bring a lawn chair and picnic to the event. Each week a featured restaurant or food truck will be on site for dinner or soft drink purchase. VIP tables are available to reserve for Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation members.

This nine-week outdoor spring meets summer concert series was voted by the Florida Travel & Tourism Guide as one of the top things to do in Northwest Florida. Drawing in a crowd of all ages, "This event brings locals and vacationers together," says Destin resident of 15 years Kirk Laszewski. "This is by far my favorite concert event." Children 12 and under can enter at no charge as well as Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation members.
