She believes that learning the identity of her mother will help her come to terms with the truth of her grim nature. However, Zen has always been told she died in childbirth. And Zen's father is determined to protect his daughter from further knowledge of her mother. Zen's only source of comfort and escape from her doubts and fears is an old book that her grandmother has given to her.

         Preternaturally fast and strong, Zen fights against sinister urges as demonic creatures traverse the breaches of time and space to lay bare the secret of Zen's true nature. The truth revealed, exposes the inextricable link between Zen and the life of a queen who lived millennia ago.

From the ancient desert kingdoms of Seba and Israel to present-day Houston, Texas, and Paris, France, a heady brew of characters converges to reveal the terrifying truth of the First Daughter.

Mack Little holds an undergraduate in English Literature from the University of Dubuque, Iowa and a Masters of Information Science from the University of North Texas. Born in Conyers, GA, Mack has gone on to live as a University Student in Seville, Spain and as a soldier, in Wurzburg, Germany. Her studies and career has taken her and all over the United States. She now resides in Houston, Texas.

Mack is currently an active member of the Houston Writer's Guild. While The First Daughter is her first novel, she co-authored Disaster Planning: a How-to-Do-It Manual, published by Neal Schuman. She has also authored several articles for professional library journals. www.Mack-Little.com.
