Meet TV Personality and Builder Rachel DeBarros at Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. - May 3, 2016 - PRLog -- While many of the events promoted by Carlisle Events skew male, there is a strong contingent of female enthusiasts who come for the automotive fun too.  Between their interest in the cool cars and the swap meet, and the popularity of a show called All Girls Garage, Carlisle Events and the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals are pleased to announce that show co-host and builder Rachel DeBarros will be a guest of the show for the first time ever.

Chrysler weekend runs July 15-17 and she'll be hanging out during that same time frame.  DeBarros comes to Carlisle from the Philadelphia area, but her talents and travels have taken her much further than a simple drive west on the turnpike for the world's largest all-Mopar themed weekend.

As a kid, Rachel was much like Tim Allen's character on Home Improvement.  She attempted to provide "more power" to many of the at home appliances and electronics.  She'd spend summers helping her uncle at his collision shop in D.C. and that's where she was introduced to bodywork and paint.  Fast forward to college and while she was pursuing a career in marketing, she continued doing her own car maintenance and repair to save money, which inadvertently turned into her first business with a base of student-customers who found it convenient to have her come to their residences to fix their cars.

She continued to work within the hobby and eventually completed the Automotive Training & Repair Program at the Philadelphia Automotive Training School.  This new chapter in her life allowed her to combine her lifelong passion for cars and hands-on technical knowledge with her 10+ years of marketing experience to create highly engaging content strategies for the aftermarket industry in emerging web, mobile, application and other on-demand technologies.

DeBarros has been involved with multiple TV projects, but her most recent one is what's bringing her to Carlisle.  In 2015 she was named as a co-host for the popular all-female casted show All Girls Garage.  This show, airing on Discovery's Velocity Channel, also stars Cristy Lee and BogiLateiner.
