NEW YORK - May 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Early Sterling silver water pitcher with two goblets. Made by Tiffany in New York, ca. 1860.

Pitcher: globular body, cylindrical neck, small lip spout, and bracket handle. Renaissance Grotesque frieze with gryphons, vases, and rinceaux on stippled ground. Same on neck with applied beading. Handle is lobed, and has applied beading terminating in volute scrolls, and mask mount at handle base. A restrained design with hidden drama in the back.

Goblets: same style with baluster shaft and raised foot. Interior richly gilt.

Hallmarks includes pattern nos. 1511 (pitcher) and 1681 (goblets). Pitcher also has 550 Broadway address. Excellent condition with rich patina.
