Free All-Star Music Event Planned in NYC to Highlight the Need for Global Peace

NEW YORK - May 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Michael Packer, in association with USA for UNHCR - the UN Refugee Agency, announced today a live blues concert event to occur on may 28, 2016 in New York City's famed Washington Square Park, as part of a series of worldwide events titled Blues for Peace.

The free Greenwich Village Park event, with permission granted by The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, will offer live music performances from 1p.m. through 5p.m.

Special guests and additional artists are anticipated to be added to the lineup as their availability becomes known closer to the time of the event.

This concert, produced by Blues for Peace, will occur in conjunction with over 50 global performances held from may 27-30 in more than 25 cities in over 10 countries. Monies raised during these events are to benefit USA for UNHCR. This United Nations agency is currently developing a website to allow for online donations related specifically to Blues for Peace organized concerts.

USA for UNHCR is a non-profit 501 (c) (3). All donations are tax-deductible.
