Excel Equipment Acquires Fit Interactive

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. - May 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Excel Equipment is proud to announce the acquisition of Fit Interactive from previous owners John and Michaela Salvitti. Excel Equipment is based outside of Chicago and is a subsidiary of Excel Electro Assembly, a contract manufacturer of electro-mechanical assemblies since 1995.

Owners of Excel, Hiten Bhanderi, Rasik Bhanderi and Trushar Patel, have been involved in the fitness industry for over 10 years. Their other fitness interests include ownership of health clubs, and strategic to this acquisition, a partnership with Motion Fitness/Exergame Fitness-the world leader in interactive fitness and the largest distributor of Fit Interactive products.

Michaela Salvitti states, "After more than 17 years in fitness equipment business, it was bittersweet to let go of our Fit Interactive products. I am proud of the hard work and the success we had pioneering such an innovative product line, but the time was right to hand it off.  I know Excel is committed to the highest level of quality and service, as I had the luxury to work with them for past few years as our customer. I feel great comfort knowing that the customer and dealer relationships that we worked so hard to build will be well taken care of, and that was very important to both me and John"
