Kent State University College of Business Administration Faculty Member Appointed to Global Advisor

KENT, Ohio - May 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Craig Zamary, marketing and entrepreneurship instructor at Kent State University's College of Business Administration, has been appointed as an advisor to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Global Innovation Exchange.

USAID Global Innovation Exchange is the first global online marketplace for innovations, funding, insights, resources and conversations.

"I am honored to serve as an advisor to USAID Global Innovation Exchange to help tackle the world's biggest challenges," said Zamary. "This is an exciting opportunity to connect innovators, governments, businesses and academia to bring solutions to humanity's greatest challenges."

Zamary was asked to serve as an advisor by Alexis Bonnell, director of the Office of Engagement and Communications at the USAID Global Development Lab, and Grace Kim, manager of Global Innovation Exchange at the USAID Global Development Lab, to assist them in the area of entrepreneurship and global strategic partnerships.

Zamary is a serial entrepreneur, board member, advisor and faculty member in the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the College of Business Administration, where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship education.

He is a contributor to the Huffington Post and has served as a senior advisor to the Kauffman Foundation, overseeing the development and implementation of the Entrepreneur in Residence Program for a select group of community colleges across the U.S. to build their entrepreneurship programs and local ecosystem.

Zamary has helped and advised numerous companies, government organizations, nonprofits and for-profits and has appeared in many national and international television and online media outlets, such as the Huffington Post, the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute, the Kauffman Foundation, Inc.com, Fast Company, Cnet, HI Velocity Media, Inside Business, Reuters, Ohio Means Business, Forbes.com and was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year nominee.

The USAID Global Exchange brings together innovators, funders, researchers, innovation-support organizations, and others to identify, support and scale high-impact solutions for good. It was created by USAID, the lead U.S. Government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential, in collaboration with more than 80 partners.

The more than 100 global partners and co-founders include organizations such as the United Nations, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, XPRIZE, NSF, Department of Commerce and more.  The Exchange currently has more than $100 million in funding opportunities, 3901 innovations and 4786 collaborators.
