Daystar Donates to Living Waters for Women

DALLAS - April 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Recently, Daystar Television Network made a $1,000 donation to Living Waters for Women, a non-profit organization in Nassau Country, New York, which works to help local women get back on their feet after being incarcerated and/or dealing with addictions.

Founded by Executive Director Lisa Cohn, Living Waters for Women is passionate about helping these women "overcome their weaknesses and nurture their strengths so that they may become vital members of the community."

The majority of the donation went towards the purchase of a new generator, an essential item for when the power goes out in the cold winter months. Additionally, several of the women had the opportunity to take a special week-long Recovery Coach class.

This donation comes on the heels of Daystar's recent donation to T.O.R.I. - the Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative, a similar organization in that it works to help previously incarcerated individuals reenter their communities upon release from prison.
