WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - April 28, 2016 - PRLog -- History was made on April 23, 2016 when America's Most Liked Wrestling presented Live To Win at St. John's Lutheran School Gymnasium.  An overflow crowd of 630+ jammed into the gym to witness the best wrestling in North Carolina, and fans were NOT disappointed. On a related side note, nearly 100 fans WERE disappointed because they were turned away from the sold out event.

So what happened? Here are the official results for AML Live to Win:

First, AML Wrestling VIPs (Rows 1-3) were treated to two Future Stars of AML matches.

Boss Hogg and Big John Z defeated Vlad Balashov and "Mr. Amazing" Michael Spencer  when Big John Z pinned Spencer after a top rope splash

Mason Maddox, Big Time Yah, and Robin Golphin beat "Labron James" (James Ryan and Labron Kozone) and James Blade.    Big Time's team secured a victory when he hit a spinebuster on young James Ryan and his teammates were otherwise engaged.

The Geordie Bulldogs (Sean Denny and Mark Denny) upset Jenny's Last Dance (Jaxson James and Brady Pierce).  If fans thought the Bulldogs' trademark comedy antics were somewhat muted in this match they were not mistaken, as the British team successfully isolated Jaxson James for most of the match and ultimately won when Sean Denny executed a schoolboy rollup on Brady Pierce.  After the match, the Bulldogs uncharacteristically praised their opponents and announced to a delighted crowd that they, the purveyors of "Snapmare City," were challenging the AML Wrestling Tag Team Champions, the Heatseekers.

The Regulator (with The Tommy Thomas) wiped out J.R. Reynolds in a special challenge match.  Thomas took the microphone away from AML ring announcer Tim Blaze and invited anyone in the locker room to challenge the masked Regulator, who is undefeated in AML competition.  Young JR Reynolds obliged, and while the match seemed like a lopsided affair at first, Reynolds acquitted himself very well, even securing a few near falls.  Ultimately, though, the mysterious Regulator was too much for Reynolds, and Tommy Thomas's client won by pinfall after a tiger bomb.

Cedric Alexander (with The Tommy Thomas) beat Axton Ray, Jordan Kage, and Joe Black in a 4-Corners Match.  A thrilling affair that featured high flying action and several "this is awesome" chants ended when Cedric Alexander took advantage of Tommy Thomas's interference to secure a pinfall over Axton Ray after a Lumbar Check.

After intermission, AML Chairman Tracy Myers presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Valiant and former WWWF World Champion "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff.

Damien Wayne defeated "The One Man Riot" Zane Dawson (w/ George South).  This grudge match came after two tainted victories by Dawson in past encounters with the Mid-Atlantic Bad Ass, but a focused and brutal Wayne ultimately proved victorious.  After the match, Wayne surprisingly attacked George South, AML Senior Referee James Hunter, AND, when he jumped in the ring with a steel chair, Jimmy Valiant.  Damien then positioned Valiant for a piledriver, but most of the AML locker room rescued the "Boogey Woogey Man" before Damien could do permanent damage.  Valiant was rushed to Wake Forest Medical Center to tend to his wounds, and Damien announced that the "Old" Damien Wayne was back.

Caprice Coleman defeated "The Southern Psycho" Elliot Russell. In a back and forth match that pitted ½ of the AML Wrestling Tag Team Champions against the former AML Wrestling Champion, a see-saw match that showcased the younger Heat Seeker's consistently-expanding move set.  Russell had Coleman nearly pinned at several points, but Coleman's hurricanrana combined with a Sky Splitta finished the Psycho for the three count.

After the match, Coleman praised his opponent on a match well-fought, and the brash Russell initially seemed to accept it, but he attacked Coleman as soon as he looked away.  Russell worked Coleman over until the Geordie Bulldogs (?!) rushed into the ring and fought him off of Coleman.  Sean Denny reiterated the Bulldogs' challenge for the tag team titles before Russell slinked backstage. In the exchange, Mark Henry ended up with Elliot Russel's tag team belt, and the gleeful fans in attendance seemed to think it looked good on him.

In the main event, AML Wrestling champion King Shane Williams (with Queen Taylor) defeated "The Exclamation Point" Steve Anthony by disqualification.  As the match began, Tommy Thomas came to ringside to watch the match, a development that went mostly unnoticed by the crowd and competitors.  At the end of a see saw match that saw several near falls on both sides (including a picturesque reverse neckbreaker by Steve Anthony) when Williams set up Anthony for his piledriver finisher The Regulator and Cedric Alexander ran into the ring and attacked the champion, causing a disqualification.  They then invited a slowly-recovering Anthony to join in the attack, but Anthony instead punched The Regulator in his masked face and helped the champion fight off Tommy Thomas and his henchmen. Williams and Anthony cleared the ring twice before Thomas forced his men backstage.  Williams retains the title via DQ win, but Steve Anthony certainly performed well enough to remain one of the top possible challengers for the champion.
