Chartway FCU's We Promise Foundation Gives $225,000 Charitable Grant to Toby's Dream

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - April 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Toby's Dream Foundation (TDF) is honored to announce that its long-time charitable supporter, Chartway Federal Credit Union's We Promise Foundation, has generously given a $225,000 grant to the local children's charity. This contribution will enable the two dream-granting organizations to work together to fulfill the wishes of approximately 50 local children who qualify for the program.

Since the creation of Toby's Dream Foundation in 2009, We Promise has been a pivotal partner by providing funding for children battling various types of cancer, rare syndromes, and even those waiting for life-giving transplants," said Joan Steele, executive director of Toby's Dream. "In all, We Promise has donated a total of $900,000 to bring joy to more than 200 children and their families living in Greater Hampton Roads and on the Eastern Shore of Virginia."

We Promise Foundation Chairman Phil Richards said the credit union's charitable arm is a proud supporter of Toby's Dream. "Since we first began raising money to make dreams come true for children battling life-threatening illnesses, we have seen first-hand the life-changing difference it makes. We could not be more proud to partner with Toby's Dream Foundation to bring encouragement and hope to children in our area."
