May 21st: 'The Big Barn' debut at Keene Road Country Estate Open House

TOPEKA, Kan. - May 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Now outdoor weddings, family reunions, and birthday parties at Keene Road Country Estate & Rustic Barn in northeast Kansas are set for rain or shine, to accommodate up to 300 guests. This because "The Big Barn," in the middle of the estate acreage, is open for use.

Keene Road Country Estate also offers accommodations on smaller scales, from vacation home rental, to long term stay, to group retreats and small events.

About Keene Road Country Estate & Rustic Barn
Located at the edge of the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills, this six-acre, family-owned property features a Colonial Style farm house that was built in 1914, and a Rustic Barn that once served as a granary.

The property was purchased in 1949 by the Murphy family. In 2012 grandaughter Shelley Andrews and her husband Mike Andrews renovated the farm house and the granary, to feature the integrity and original charm along with modern day amenities. They opened the estate as a vacation home and event rental. The granary is now a "Rustic Barn" available for country style events.

About "The Big Barn"
The Big Barn was built in 1975, and for several years was used as a shed for farm vehicles and equipment. This spring, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews cleared it out, and modernized it for events.

Before then, folks reserving large outdoor events on the estate had option to rent a tent should it rain. Now folks reserving big events have "The Big Barn" as an option.

About the Open House
Be among the first to tour "The Big Barn," the newly featured shelter for big events, at the Keene Road Country Estate & Rustic Barn Open House is 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 21st.
