DanceLife Retreat Center Announces Star-Studded Lineup for 2016
The DanceLife Retreat Center, a unique home for dance teachers, has announced their Summer schedule. It is full of renowned dance masters from across America. Intensives include Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater and Hip Hop along with a unique workshop for teaching dance to those with learning differences.
"The Retreat Center is unique in the dance world," explains Founder and CEO Rhee Gold. "It differs from large conferences in that it is an intimate setting of about 35 people sharing and working together, growing their passion for dance." Dance teachers live, eat, breathe, and learn from expert instructors against a peaceful New England backdrop. Teachers are free to mingle over catered meals on site and participate in evening fireside chats with the instructors.
Traditional workshops include 2-day intensives in tap with Thelma Goldberg and Gregg Russell, musical theater with Renee Celeste and Scott Fowler, and hip hop with Tricia Gomez and Geo Hubela. The 3-day lineup offers jazz with Derrick Schrader, Jackie Sleight, and Joe Tremaine as well as ballet with Roni Mahler, Bruce Marks, and Eileen Juric.
This fifth season at the DanceLife Retreat Center also offers a uniquely inclusive educational opportunity in the Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Certification Workshop. This 3-day dance teacher training introduces techniques for assisting students with Autism, Down syndrome, and other learning differences. Tricia Gomez and guests will demonstrate how to incorporate hip hop steps into games that help build social skills, communication, and trust among these more sensitive students.
"Summer at the DanceLife Retreat Center is all about the dance teacher and teacher training," Gold promises. More information can be found at the Retreat Center's website. Space is limited and early registration is recommended for this immersive and collaborative dance education opportunity.
