MILWAUKEE - April 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Metro Milwaukee Honda Dealers is excited to announce that the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will be making its way to their new vehicle lineup soon, and based on the current specs, it is a significant update on the already remarkable sedan.

The already impressive Accord lineup-consisting of the 2016 Honda Accord Sedan and 2016 Honda Accord Coupe-will soon have a new sibling, and it has an updated engine from the 2015 Accord Hybrid to bring more power and a better fuel economy.

John Mendel, American Honda Motor Company's executive VP, said, "The new Honda Accord Hybrid is the ultimate Accord-the most refined, technologically sophisticated, and, of course, most fuel efficient in the lineup … We think this new hybrid model will add considerable momentum for the Honda brand."

The engine specs are sure to surprise drivers who think that "hybrid" means "slow":

* The 2017 Accord Hybrid has 212 combined system hp and delivers near instant torque thanks to its electric motors.
* Despite the power boost, the 2017 Accord Hybrid EPA-estimated fuel economy comes in at 49 mpg in the city, 47 mpg on the highway, and 48 mpg combined city/highway.*

The engine is just part of the picture, as the interior of the Accord Hybrid is getting a tech upgrade with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features. A special aluminum hood, unique wheels, and hybrid badging will further distinguish this model from the standard Accord

Three drive modes let users optimize the Accord Hybrid for the given road conditions: EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive. The Hybrid, Hybrid EX-L, and Hybrid Touring trims should also offer plenty of variety on features.

To learn more about the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, Milwaukee area drivers can contact a Metro Milwaukee Honda Dealer near them. With locations in the greater Milwaukee area, it's easy for drivers to get behind the wheel of a dependable and affordable new Honda.
