PRLog -- Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited under their Corporate Social Responsibility has initiated the Project Tamira Muthukkal for facilitating skill development training to youths and helping them to earn their living through technical skills in association with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS).
100 youths were trained under the two months vocational training courses, i.e., Tally (Computer Course), Electrician and Sewing Machine Operation, out of which 60 students got employment through campus placement drive.
At the end of the training course today (26.04.2016)
the certificates were distributed to the project beneficiaries at Sterlite Tamira Muthukkal Skill Development School, Thoothukudi. Dr X Rosary Mary, Former Director, Youth Welfare, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli distributed the certificates to the project beneficiaries in the presence of Sterlite Copper Officials M Viswanadhan, Head - Asset Optimization, Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer & Head CSR and ILFS Regional Head Mr KM Rajan. The trainees have shared their experiences during these skill development courses and expressed their gratitude.
