An Event so Unique, Racers SUP through Downtown Tampa's Waterways!

TAMPA, Fla. - April 26, 2016 - PRLog -- On May 1st SUP, Kayak, Outrigger Canoe and Surfski competitors enjoy racing with the unique perspective of Tampa's scenic downtown waterways in 5K Recreational and 10K Elite divisions for kids, adults, teams and Corporate Krewes..  Plus a 200m Sprint & Kids race.

Starting and finishing at Cotanchobee Park (between the Mariott Waterside & Tampa History Museum), spectators will enjoy this free event while strolling through the racer's village, sponsor tents, exhibitors and vendors.  Plus music, kids activities and prize raffle.

As a close partner with the City of Tampa, Tamp Parks & Recreation and the honorable Mayor Bob Buckhorn, the Gasparilla SUP Invasion also contributes as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Riverwalk (501c3 non-profit).

Celebrate the last Gasparilla-themed celebration of the season, activate Tampa's Parks & Riverwalk and cheer on racers as they invade downtown Tampa at the 2016 Gasparilla Stand-Up Paddle Invasion.
