LAKEWOOD, Calif. - April 21, 2016 - PRLog -- There's no shortage of awards honoring entrepreneurs. But most of them measure the same-old, same-old. Revenues. Growth. That's not a bad thing, but entrepreneurs deserve more. Rather than honoring traditional measures of success, the RuleBreaker Awards, now in its third year, celebrate entrepreneurs for what they don't do-for ignoring conventional wisdom, taking the road less traveled and breaking all the rules. If you're an entrepreneur who's breaking the rules (or know someone who is), you can nominate yourself or others at RuleBreakerAwards.com.

"We're thrilled to announce the third annual RuleBreaker Awards to honor trailblazing entrepreneurs who have succeeded by doing it their way," said Rieva Lesonsky, CEO of GrowBiz Media and a co-host of the RuleBreaker Awards.

"Ironically, the evolution of any industry comes from a revolution sparked by someone who challenges the industry-it comes from the rule breakers. That is what this award ceremony is all about, recognizing the people who revolutionize industry," said co-host Mike Michalowicz, author of Profit First.

"After the overwhelming response to the event last year, we found that some RuleBreakers revolutionize their industries and others create whole new industries," said co-host Barry Moltz, author of How to Get Unstuck.

Nextiva, the title sponsor of this year's awards, and PeakSales Recruiting, a supporting sponsor are two companies pioneered by rulebreakers themselves.

Nominations are open through June 30, 2016. You can nominate yourself or another RuleBreaker in the following categories: Tech Services, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Small Businesses Under 3 Years Old, or Small Businesses Over 3 Years Old.

Public voting and judging will be held in July. The panel of judges will include:

·      Ken Yancey, CEO of SCORE
·      Gabie Boko, Executive VP, Sage North America
·      Anita Campbell, founder, CEO and Publisher of Small Business Trends and BizSugar
·      Ramon Ray, Marketing and Technology Evangelist of Smallbiztechnology.com, Smart Hustle magazine and Infusionsoft
·      Shama Kabani, CEO of Marketing Zen Group
·      JJ Ramberg, co-founder of Goodsearch.com and host of MSNBC's Your Business

Winners will be announced September 15, 2016; the Grand Prize Winner will be honored November 14, 2016, at an awards ceremony at the Talking Tree Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.
