Sacred Heart assembly to focus on Education in Uganda; Ambassador from Ugandan parish to speak

KINGSTON, Mass. - April 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school in Kingston for students in preschool through grade 12, will hold an assembly on April 29^th for high school students with a focus on "Education in Uganda."

Scheduled to speak is Ambassador Oliver Wonekha from Father Timothy's Parish in Uganda.  The assembly will enhance student's understanding of the challenges to education in Uganda with the hopes of initiating constructive engagement with students on how to address these problems.

The program is facilitated by Generis International, a non-profit organization that works with dedicated grassroots organizations to identify conditions creating barriers to education for orphans and vulnerable children globally.

Goals of the program include promoting interaction between Sacred Heart and Ugandan students and to encourage the development of a global community service project.  Following the assembly, Ambassador Wonekha will answer questions from students and faculty.
