Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Rho Omega Chapter of Loudoun County

LEESBURG, Va. - April 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Rho Omega Chapter will host its annual "Excellence in Scholarship and Community Awards" event on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the National Conference Center in Leesburg Virginia, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, 11:00 am reception.

Psi Rho Omega's scholarship program forges partnerships in education with Loudoun County's teachers and community leaders and provides scholarships to exceptional future leaders.  This year's event, "Excellence in Scholarship and Community Awards," will feature keynote addresses from Ms. Cynthia Ambrose Assistant Superintendent, Loudoun County Public Schools and Mr. Wendall T. Fisher, Supervisor of the Office of Outreach Programs for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Psi Rho Omega will award scholarships to deserving Loudoun County students as well as women (25 years or older) seeking to continue their education.  Additionally, the chapter will recognize members of the Loudoun County community who have shown exemplary leadership in education.  This year's honorees include Loudoun County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, among others.
