Suburban Dallas The conference's theme was "Start Your Engines … Racing Toward the Future!" and the North Suburban Dallas chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. organized and hosted the event. All nine chapters in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex participated. "Every one of the kids and many of the mothers who attended learned something new today about STEAM fields and the variety of careers available in motorsports," Children explored STEAM and motorsports in sessions where they talked to professional drivers, built LEGO cars, created original artwork, and learned media interview skills. At the end of the conference kids had an exciting opportunity to take a spin with a professional driver in a pace car. Interstate Batteries served as the 2016 Checkered Flag Sponsor and provided funding and in-kind support for the DFW-Area Regional Children's Cluster.
