Supergirl Actor Jeremy Jordan To Appear in New Comedy Web Series BETH AND CHARLY

NEW YORK - April 17, 2016 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, New York - It was announced today that the highly anticipated comedy web series Beth and Charly Costars Jeremy Jordan will premiere in NYC April 2016 date set.

Beth and Charly video teaser was featured on the popular comedy website Funny or Die earlier this year and caught the eye of some heavy hitters in the entertainment industry. The story of Beth and Charly follows the neurotic former child star Charly Chase (Shauna Goodgold) as she attempts to make a desperate comeback into the world of fame, celebrities and wannabees. With the help of her unfulfilled, under-appreciated friend-sistant Beth Simon (Elizabeth Seldin), the two struggle their way through awkward interviews, keeping up with the Kardashians and other real or imagined misfortunes.

The series, which was written and produced by Goodgold and Seldin, has snagged multi-talented Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl, Smash) and Stephen Friedrich (True Fiction, Hostages) to guest star along with a number of other fresh faced performers, including cast member Andrew Chappelle from Broadway's Mamma Mia! and Grammy award winning show Hamilton. Direction is by award winning Paolo Monico (The Mother).

Creator Shauna Goodgold, a NYC-based actress, writer, vocalist, and voice over artist confesses that she wrote this story partly from fantasy and partly from the reality of her life. "My mother was a child actress and spent her early teen years singing and performing with Barry Manilow, so I guess it just rubbed off. "'

What to expect from Beth and Charly? "The ill at ease beauty and humor of the relationship between Beth and Charly is that they desperately need each other, yet secretly yearn to live their own separate lives. A classic co-dependency scenario,"  describes co-writer/co-star Elizabeth Seldin of this new project. "The heart of the show lies in the question, what do you do when one person is your only person?"

Since the project was announced, Beth and Charly has garnered a significant social media following on the show's official Instagram account gaining over five thousand Instagram followers in the first month, even before a premiere date had been announced. They hooked fans by releasing a series of  unexpected clever promotional videos. Fans were drawn in and introduced to the quirky lead characters, as well as the talented supporting cast.

The upcoming show now has an active, enthusiastic and excited fan base awaiting its' debut.

The six-episode season will be released weekly.
