Rumberger's Scott Sarason Named to 11th Judicial Circuit Professionalism and Civility Committee

MIAMI - April 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell is pleased to announce that Miami partner Scott Sarason has been selected to serve on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism and Civility Committee.  In 1998, the Supreme Court of Florida issued an Administrative Order In re: Commission on Professionalism, directing each Chief Judge to maintain in continuous operation a Circuit Committee on Professionalism.

Sarason joins ten judges, two of whom are Co-Chairs, and sixteen other attorneys who have demonstrated adherence to the professional standards of conduct set forth in the Oath of Admission to the Florida Bar, The Florida Bar Creed of Professionalism, The Florida Bar Ideals and Goals of Professionalism, The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and the decisions of The Florida Supreme Court relating to professionalism. The Committee is also Co-Chaired by Rumberger's Director of Professionalism, Career and Skill Development, Paul Lipton.

The Committee shall discuss, monitor and/or coordinate professionalism activities within the Circuit, and may take action deemed appropriate by the Committee in furtherance of promoting and encouraging professionalism within the legal community.

The members will serve on two separate panels consisting of three members each on a rotating quarterly basis for two years.

With more than 30 years of trial experience, Sarason represents clients in cases involving product liability, admiralty/maritime claims, commercial litigation, premises liability, and professional liability.  He represents the manufacturers, distributors and retailers of a variety of products including recreational vehicles such as personal watercraft, jet boats, other marine vessels used as pleasure crafts and ultralight aircraft. Litigating in state and federal court, Sarason's cases involve the defense of claims involving significant and catastrophic injury as well as wrongful death.  He received his law degree from University of Miami School of Law and his undergrad degree from George Washington University.
