Follow on Google News | Rumberger's Scott Sarason Named to 11th Judicial Circuit Professionalism and Civility CommitteeBy: Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell Sarason joins ten judges, two of whom are Co-Chairs, and sixteen other attorneys who have demonstrated adherence to the professional standards of conduct set forth in the Oath of Admission to the Florida Bar, The Florida Bar Creed of Professionalism, The Florida Bar Ideals and Goals of Professionalism, The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and the decisions of The Florida Supreme Court relating to professionalism. The Committee is also Co-Chaired by Rumberger's Director of Professionalism, Career and Skill Development, Paul Lipton. The Committee shall discuss, monitor and/or coordinate professionalism activities within the Circuit, and may take action deemed appropriate by the Committee in furtherance of promoting and encouraging professionalism within the legal community. The members will serve on two separate panels consisting of three members each on a rotating quarterly basis for two years. "I am humbled to be selected for this important duty," said Sarason. He represents the manufacturers, distributors and retailers of a variety of products including recreational vehicles such as personal watercraft, jet boats, other marine vessels used as pleasure crafts and ultralight aircraft. Litigating in state and federal court, Sarason's cases involve the defense of claims involving significant and catastrophic injury as well as wrongful death. He received his law degree from University of Miami School of Law and his undergrad degree from George Washington University.
