LOS ANGELES - April 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Could this be a first for the City of Angels? The first ever all-natural, organic group BBQ gathering since the Paleo Age? Maybe not, but there will be fun to be had, grilling to learn and delicious food for the tasting. This will be the first public Grilling Class instructed by Chef Mick Brown since winning Grill Master Champion on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen last year. Known as LA's only "Urban Homesteading and DIY Shop", King's Roost in Silver Lake is the location where the inaugural class will launch on Sunday, April 24th from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

California Gold BBQ Rubs has been added as a Sponsor, and will be distributing Gift Bags with BBQ Rubs and Recipes for all participants. The class will include "Hand's On" cooking instruction covering all topics related to Grilling and BBQ. Focus will be on "Green" or "Organic" Grilling, which uses all natural ingredients (as well as recycled newspaper), in an effort to lesson the impact of chemicals to the environment. In addition to Outdoor Grilling, Chef Mick Brown will also share some Tips for making Indoor BBQ taste more authentic. In the Kitchen, the class will learn an easy Recipe for making all-natural Homemade BBQ Sauce without all of the Sugars and Preservatives found in Commercial Brands.

Since 2011, Chef Mick Brown has been teaching Private and Group Grilling Lessons through local catering outfit Tastee BQ Grilling Co. He has done BBQ Classes and Demonstrations from Beverly Hills, to San Diego, to New Orleans. One of his larger BBQ presentations was for the historic Los Angeles Garden Club in the Auditorium at Griffith Park. In 2013, he was invited to do a turn as Sous Chef to Instructor Michael Devidz for a Cooking Class at the New Orleans School of Cooking. Mick has also attended Cooking Seminars and classes in Costa Rica, Paris and London. He is happy to finally share these experiences with people in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake area.

The cost for the session is $75.00 per Person, with discount of 2 for $140.00.
