CHICAGO - April 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Waterstone Management Group, an expert-led boutique management consulting firm focused on the information technology industry, announced today that John Cala, a highly seasoned global executive with 20 years of technology business and strategic consulting experience, has joined the firm as an Affiliate Partner. The addition of Cala underscores Waterstone's consistent strategy of adding senior-level talent with significant experience and success in the technology industry.

Cala, formerly a Managing Director in IBM Sales and Distribution, and a Consulting Practice Leader at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers, brings deep experience in strategy, sales, and merger integration. He has consistently helped companies improve financial results and performance through IT and business transformation, acquisitions and divestitures, and strategic restructuring. He has lived and worked in Europe and Asia, and his expertise, insights, and thought leadership will be an instrumental part of his work with Waterstone's clients.

While with IBM's Sales group, Cala served as Managing Director and was responsible for managing the Lenovo account in Beijing, and later, the Philips account in Amsterdam. In those roles, he managed global sales teams, while overseeing service quality for consulting and outsourcing services on his accounts. As a strategic consultant, he was also Practice Leader for IBM's Electronics Industry and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, and while there, he acquired and integrated IBM's first SaaS-based software business, not only making it profitable, but opening up a new area for IBM.

John earned his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an AB cum laude in Economics from Occidental College.
