Los Angeles Rock Group Higuera Announces May 20 Release For New EP "Always Have A Secret Plan"
Higuera Announces Release Details For New EP "Always Have A Secret Plan."
While bands simply strive for the rare chance at a major label deal, the 5 members of Higuera take the stand of "no hype, no bullshit and writing and playing music for the sake of music" vocalist Valley Taylor explains. With a strong resistance to typical mainstream artist fashion and musical direction, Higuera always displays honest and raw talent in their live shows and album recordings. "Always Have a Secret Plan" was produced by Rob Kinelski, who in the industry is known for working with credible Hip-Hop artists such as Drake, Big Sean and Nas.
Higuera is the new moniker for the group's former name THRDVSN, which was formed by Taylor in 2013. As THRDVSN, the band constantly toured and were covered by notable websites such as Free Bike Valet and Kings of A&R. This EP is a reflection of the band's passion and dedication to musical expression.
"Always Have a Secret Plan is an EP named after a drawing I found on a floor tile in a truckstop back in 2011. Half the songs on it were written before 2013 when the band was formed so the whole process has felt very secret. We recorded it live with our friends Rob and Dave at Bay 7 studios in 2014 and now two years later it's finally seeing the light of day. I think a big motivation in the recording process was the time we took from start to finish. Working on this music for almost 10 years was my secret plan and now it's finally time to unveil it." - Valley Taylor / Vocalist

About The Band:
Higuera was formed by Singer-songwriter and bible college dropout Valley Taylor who moved to LA after going through a messy divorce. Originally the band was formed under the name THRDVSN and marketed in a way to "Sell Out" but this eventually proved to be hard to maintain the shallow lifestyle and the band evolved into a more mature and blue collar version of alternative rock.
