Veterans court conference to explore military sexual trauma, traumatic brain injury claims
WASHINGTON - On April 14 and 15, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims will host its 13th judicial conference at the Newseum's Knight Conference Center in Washington, D.C. The conference theme is "A New Generation of Veterans, A New Generation of Challenges."
Conference participants include veterans law practitioners, members of congressional staffs, federal judges, law students and law professors from across the nation.
"The exchange of ideas and information provided at this conference will improve the level of practice before our court, which can only mean that judges will be able to decide veterans cases more quickly and fairly," said Chief Judge Lawrence B. Hagel.
On April 14, the conference runs from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The April 14 luncheon is closed to the press. On April 15, the conference begins at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 1:30 p.m.
