MCKINNEY, Texas - April 12, 2016 - PRLog -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC) announces that their 7th Annual Shrimp & Crawfish Boil will be held on Saturday, April 30th, at the corner of Legacy Drive and Lebanon Road in Frisco. For seven years the Frisco Bar & Grill has hosted this event at 4851 Legacy Drive. Thanks to the support of surrounding businesses this area takes on a carnival atmosphere with a Cajun flavor with fun and exciting activities for kids and adults. Each year the event has grown in attendance and funds raised to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County. With growth of over 20% the past few years and the Frisco Branch growing in parallel with the City and school district, this event helps the BGCCC to support more children with programs that help make life changing decisions.

"BGCCC Board Member and past President, Von Best and his wife Rosanne got the idea for this event over seven years ago, it has helped raise needed funds for expansion of our programs to hundreds of additional children as this area grows at a phenomenal pace", said Mike Simpson, CEO of the clubs in Collin County. "We appreciate the dedication of Von & Rosanne to help our children and for opening their business and that entire corner for a fun community event."

"The BGCCC has almost 2,600 children in our after school and summer programs and with outreach programs, we impact the lives of over 7,000 annually. Our clubs concentrate on three core areas of academic and career programs, development of character and leadership skills and health and life skills. Most people do not understand all that our clubs do to positively impact the children we serve in a safe and nurturing environment on a daily basis." stated Von Best, board member and owner of the restaurant holding this event.

The Shrimp & Crawfish Boil features outstanding food, fun and games for the kids, Live Music as well as other food and drink specials. A Silent Auction and Live Auction features many items, and is a family fun event from 2:00-7:00 pm on Saturday, April 30th.
