The Topps Company released a new set of Garbage Pail Kids® parody cards that coincided with Friday's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The "Rock & Roll Hall of Lame" cards are available exclusively on Topps.com. The cards include parodies of inductees N.W.A., Chicago, Cheap Trick, Steve Miller, and Deep Purple. "The essence of Garbage Pail Kids lends itself well to pop culture events with its silly jokes," said David Leiner, Topps Vice President and General Manager of North American Sports & Entertainment. "In this case, we were excited to make these Garbage Pail Kids cards. We have great jokes and fans of the musical artists are going to find these cards to be a neat addition to their collections." These new music-inspired cards will also include those of presenters Kendrick Lamar, Kid Rock, and The Black Keys. Some of the jokes consist of Ice Cube's head stuck in a block of ice, Doctor Dre blasting his ear off with special headphones, and even satirizing certain musicians' political ideals. "Rock & Roll Hall of Lame" is the latest set of 2016's special edition Garbage Pail Kids cards inspired by newsworthy, political and pop culture events. These cards, which are sold exclusively on Topps.com, have become popular with fans of the iconic brand, pop culture enthusiasts and art aficionados. The pop culture cards are not just popular with new Garbage Pail Kid fans, but also those who collected the original sets in the 1980s. The cards are available for a limited time on Topps.com. End
