Pompano Beach Airpark Race Supports Angel Flight Southeast

LEESBURG, Fla. - April 7, 2016 - PRLog -- More than 650 pilots across Florida volunteer to fly children and adults to life saving medical appointments. South Florida runners and walkers can make a difference on the ground by participating in the Run for the Angels 5K Race, presented by Sheltair Aviation which benefits Angel Flight Southeast

The Run for the Angels 5K, takes place on Saturday, May 7 at 7 a.m., at Pompano Beach Airpark, 1001 NE 10^th Street, in Pompano Beach. The 3.1 mile race traverses the taxiways, runways and around the hangars of the airport. The race will begin and end at Sheltair. Other race sponsors include Saavedra Goodwin - The Aviation Law Firm, SunTrust and Kimley-Horn.

Angel Flight Southeast provides free transportation to patients of all ages who need access to life-saving medical appointments they otherwise would not be able to travel to because of distance and cost.

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate in the event but registration is limited to 300 runners. Registration is available online at http://www.Active.com or by visiting http://www.AngelFlightSE.org/events. Children under 18 are invited to participate with an accompanying adult.
