Pompano Beach Airpark Race Supports Angel Flight Southeast
5K race on airport runway raises money for Air Charity Network affiliate
The Run for the Angels 5K, takes place on Saturday, May 7 at 7 a.m., at Pompano Beach Airpark, 1001 NE 10th Street, in Pompano Beach. The 3.1 mile race traverses the taxiways, runways and around the hangars of the airport. The race will begin and end at Sheltair. Other race sponsors include Saavedra Goodwin - The Aviation Law Firm, SunTrust and Kimley-Horn.
Angel Flight Southeast provides free transportation to patients of all ages who need access to life-saving medical appointments they otherwise would not be able to travel to because of distance and cost.
