Slow Art Day Is Coming To North Hercules Avenue, Clearwater On Saturday, April 9, 2016!

CLEARWATER, Fla. - April 7, 2016 - PRLog -- - One day each year, people around the world meet up with friends - new and old - to celebrate the joy of looking at art slowly. Over 94 locations all around the globe are joining together this Saturday, April 9 to participate in Slow Art Day with one goal: slow down and take more time to really look at art.

Everyone is guilty of rushing through many art exhibitions, overstimulated and overwhelmed in trying to take it all in. The same thing is observed by the founder of Slow Art Day and decided to create an event that would encourage everyone to approach art with a slower, more contemplative mindset. A simple idea with incredibly rewarding results!

Menaul Art is pleased to invite everyone to Menaul Art / My Favorite Art Place on Saturday, April 9 between the hours of 10 - 2 and look at 5 pieces of art slowly.

''The members of the group will be on hand to facilitate observation and appreciation of five works in the gallery's collection. They will be discussing surrealistic abstract artwork. We will have snacks and drinks and plenty of conversation to enhance your experience. What we are sharing - the focus on slow looking and its transformative power.'' Said Jerri Menaul
