Mobile Art Platform Raises $600k, Launches on Fundable

SAN FRANCISCO - April 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Aura is a location based data-driven mobile technology platform. It is the first platform designed to combine art, data and social. Aura is harnessing the best that social-mobile technology has to offer -- including geolocation, image recognition, big data, and social networking capabilities -- all aimed at enhancing the process of remembering, learning and sharing art while fundamentally preserving what makes discovering art great in the first place: actually experiencing it in person.

From the halls of a museum or the streets of a city, inspirational works of art are all around us, but there's just not a great way to capture these valuable moments of discovery and save it so we can relive that same experience later. Mobile technology gives us the technology to snap a picture, but not a centralized home to save, share, and display these memories in a meaningful and impactful way.

We created Aura as a solution to that problem. For users, Aura is a digital, mobile notebook to remember and map artwork wherever they find it, from the halls of museums to wall murals on the side of a building and more. With capturing, sharing, and recognition capabilities, Aura is go-to app for art aficionados around the world. For museums, fairs, galleries, public spaces, and other venues, Aura acts as an in-presence guide to enhancing visitor experience.

We've already made a lot of progress in our efforts. Aura v. 1.2 is now available for download for iOS on the App Store, we secured a valuable partnership with our primary investor, the Toledo Museum of Art, we are in active collaborative discussions with 17 different museums throughout the US and we are busy building v 2.0 iOS + Android now.
