CARLISLE, Pa. - April 6, 2016 - PRLog -- As April days roll towards May, that can only mean one thing; Spring Carlisle and its very popular and rapidly growing auction are right around the corner.  The spring event runs April 20-24 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, but it's what happens less than two blocks away at the Carlisle Expo Center that will have America's Automotive Hometown a buzz on April 21-22.  Carlisle Auctions returns to the spotlight for its second offering of 2016, but its first of the year in central PA.  The auction itself offers collectors and novices alike the chance to snag their first or next classic via the fast paced auction atmosphere.  Best of all, with 400+ consignments crossing the block, there's something for everyone!

Consignments WILL sell out, meaning that every bidder in attendance is focused on the cream of the crop as classics and collector cars go.  Consignments range from '30s era production to modern muscle and each have something special to offer.  In fact, this year's auction offers numerous frame off and rotisserie restorations; meaning the most meticulous of care has been given to these rides before even coming to Carlisle.

Powered by the FREE UNLESS SOLD guarantee, the quantity and quality of consignments screams "bid on me," and that's just what will happen starting April 21.  Many consignments can be previewed online at www.CarlisleAuctions.com and in person starting April 20 at the expo center.  There are some that are deserving of extra attention and recognition, including a maroon 1934 Dodge Deluxe DR.  Just one of 230 produced with a rumble seat, it has only 43,113 miles on its drive train and has been fully restored.   The Dodge comes with a three-speed transmission as well as overdrive and is powered by a six cylinder engine.  It has a nice pedigree too, having taken first place at multiple car shows.  Start it on the first try and drive it home today…well, after the winning bid at Spring Carlisle anyway.

Another gem available was produced just seven years later; a 1941 Graham Hollywood Super Charged.   Also the recipient of a frame off restoration nearly 30 years ago, it has won many awards in its lifetime, including an AACA Senior Grand National and AACA Presidents Cup National honor.  The Graham comes with photo documentation of the restoration, four boxes of awards, publications and manuals.  This model is also supercharged, making it one of about 350 built.

15 years after the Graham, Ford offered the next available consignment; a 1956 white Thunderbird.  This T-Bird recently completed a nearly four-year restoration and was finished in Colonial White with contrasting red and white interior as well as a black canvas convertible top.  There are two more tops available, making it a three top ride.  In addition, every piece of chrome and steel has been polished and there isn't much on this classic that hasn't been refreshed and refurbished.  It may be 60 years old, but it'll feel better than it did when it rolled off the line.

Carlisle Events and Carlisle Auctions could not hold an event without the anchor car that best represents Carlisle; the Corvette.  Available at the auction is a 1958 Roadster and it's just one of 455 Panama Yellow cars built.  This Corvette comes with both a hard and soft top and while restored, is correct in all aspects.

Finally, Carlisle Auctions has a wide array of muscle available too, including the following two powerhouses.  Crossing the block on Friday (4/22) will be a 1969 Olds 442 as well as a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302.  The Olds is a true 442, with matching numbers and has been documented by GM Vintage Vehicle Services to be one of only 509 442 Sport Coupes built.  The muscle theme continues with the Boss; a classic that spent four years being restored.  Fully documented and 1 of 1, it's highly desirable in Calypso Coral and has only 72,000 original  miles, meaning that not only does it look great, it's still as much of a reliable driver today as it was 46 years ago.

Along with the standard consignments and indoor featured cars, there are a few vehicles that are crossing the block for charity, plus some merchandise and collectibles.  Registering to bid is simple, affordable and can be done onsite within the auction office or in advance by calling Carlisle Auctions at 717-960-6400.
