Bunny Power! Empowerment clothing for girls

ATLANTA - April 6, 2016 - PRLog -- The Bunny Life, an Empowerment company, announced last week that it is raising funds via a rewards / equity crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to finish the development of their empowering undergarment line for young girls. The company set out to raise $30,000 on Kickstarter to finish development and produce the first release of their clothing line that is aimed at the empowerment and self-esteem building of young girls aged 4-12.

"40-70% of young girls are dissatisfied with 2 or more parts of their body."‚ Self Esteem in young girls hits its peak or valley at this age and directly influences decisions during teen years and beyond. The clothing line's creator is a survivor of sexual abuse herself and knows the power of affirmations as well as the need for girls to find themselves beautiful for qualities that lie inside themselves. "Children start to compare themselves to their peers around 7 years of age. Their perceived abilities and weaknesses become important contributing factors to their self-esteem."ƒ

The lines prototypes have been well received in the local Atlanta market by focus groups and parents.„ The girls that have already experienced pieces of the line regard these as favorites among their clothing. There are 5 separate designs that include tank tops and panties. Each set has a different power word designed for young girls to use as an affirmation for their day. "It was important to me to create a line that bolstered the feeling of confidence based on a young girl's ability to be so much more than beautiful. I started with an undergarment release because it covers what is the most vulnerable part of a young girl in a message that is strong." Says line creator Melissa Mansfield Baker …
