2016 AFS Awards Ceremony and National Security and Economic Symposium

DALLAS - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Roger Staubach will be awarded 2016 Megellas Award at the Awards Ceremony and National Security and Economic Symposium held at Dallas Hotel Intercontinental, Friday, April 08, 2016.  This event is held annually and recognizes outstanding leaders and corporations for their extraordinary support of our military.

LTC James Magellas, USA (Ret) is the most decorated officer in the history of the 82^nd Airborne Division.  Thus, the reason we recognize someone who has served in our military and supports our military throughout their lives. Roger Staubach has been selected as the 2016 Recipient.  Staubach served our nation as a US Navy Veteran, former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback and is currently Executive Chairman Americas - Jones Lang LaSalle.

The prestigious AFS Megellas Award honors a leader who served our nation in uniform and continues to serve as a civilian servant leader.  This year's award will be presented to Roger Staubach by Admiral Pat Walsh, the first Megellas Award recipient, and Senator John Cornyn. Past recipients include Clint Bruce, Navy Seal, CEO of Trident Response, Co-founder of Carry the Load; Marcus and Melanie Luttrell; and Lt General Richard Cary, USMC.
