TOLLAND, Conn. - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Nerac (www.nerac.com) is pleased to announce that Founder and CEO Kevin Bouley, has been selected for multiple leadership roles with the University of Connecticut.  He will be participating as a judge for the School of Nursing's Shark Team event, as well as mentoring and advising student entrepreneurs in the UConn Innovation Quest program.  He also recently served as a judge for the School of Engineering's Poster Competitiion.

In its 5th year, the UConn Innovation Quest (iQ) program's vision is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.  Through this vision, their mission is to create companies and jobs.  iQ sponsors an annual iQ Competition which helps students with marketable product ideas step through the product development process, taking ideas to prototypes to companies.  iQ looks for projects with commercialization potential, a demonstrable prototype validating the novel concept and a business plan on how to take the product to market. This prepares the innovator and team so their project may ultimately result in introductions to venture capitalists and industry leaders for further commercialization. Bouley volunteers his time to serve as a mentor and advisor to these innovative student entrepreneurs.  Learn more here. http://innovationquest.org/uconn

April 5, 2016, the UConn School of Nursing will hold its 3rd annual Nursing Innovation Shark Tank event.  UConn nursing student innovators pitch their healthcare innovations to entrepreneur judges from Connecticut and across the country in a style similar to the ABC show "Shark Tank" where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to top professionals.  This first paneled event connected students with entrepreneurs who may fund their efforts!  Bouley has once again been asked to be a judge at that event.  Learn more here. http://nursing.uconn.edu/program-info/healthcare-innovation-program/

In addition, Bouley was invited to be a judge for the 2nd Annual Graduate Poster Competition and Symposium for the UConn School of Engineering, for the second year in a row.  The poster competition was held on Feb 25, 2016.

"I firmly believe that the synergies that exist between the students, their intellectual capital and the existing VC opportunities that can be leveraged are virtually limitless," said Bouley.  "I am honored to be a part of these bright and innovative teams, who are clearly the business leaders of the future."
