HARRISBURG, Pa. - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- "Caregiving"-especially within the family--is the hot-button topic of the era.

Approximately 54-million Americans serve as unpaid caregivers to older (and other) family members. That number is likely to grow as the population continues to age and the medical problems associated with aging, such as dementia, increase.

Two-thirds of these family caregivers are women. Many are in the "sandwich generation," caring for both children and other family members, simultaneously.

Everyone, in other words, is a potential caregiver.

Caregiving brings with it challenges, heartache, and joys. These are addressed in the book What to Do with Family Members: A Guide to Caring for Aging Family Members, released recently by Sunburn Press.

The book offers guidance to present and future caregivers, based on the real-life experiences of the authors-Barbara G. Matthews and Barbara Trainin Blank-as well as several other caregivers.

This is not a book by "experts" but by people in the trenches, which will help you develop realistic goals and effective strategies to keep your balance while caring for your loved ones.
