"I Rise" As GEHMs Shine For The Love Of Art

NEWARK, N.J. - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Indie comic book publisher FarCorners Studios (FCS) from From April 1 through April 30, 2016 is providing a limited print edition exclusively on Indiegogo. The release is I RISE, it's the third episode and second arc in the Team Genesis series, the flagship series of FarCorners Studios. I RISE will only be available to those who secure it as a perk during the I RISE Indiegogo campaign. Once the campaign is over no more print copies will be printed.

When asked why this approach, Editor-In-Chief, Lincoln Farquharson stated, "When deciding to do a crowdfunding campaign and developing "perks," I thought why not give our GEHMs an ultimate perk,  an exclusive limited print edition just for them. By making I Rise only available to those who secure it during the campaign, the edition is limited and increases the value for the owner. Also, we've been brainstorming ways of showcasing our artists and staff. So, you'll also get to know the indie artists and staff who help make FCS a great and exciting studio. There are also opportunities to own the artwork on canvas, acrylic, and metal!"

GEHMs (pronounced 'gems') is a term you'll only find within the FarCorners Universe. The term is an acronym for Genetically Enhanced HuMans who are a central focus within the Team Genesis and Delta Squadron series. Mr. Farquharson, who's also the writer for the studio, shared why FCS has decided to also use the term GEHMs when referring to their fans. "The terms 'fans' and 'fandom' infer unequal footing and at FarCorners Studios we believe we're all on equal footing in our love for the FarCorners Universe. GEHMs shine, they are beautiful and rare. Without our GEHMs the FarCorners Universe would be dormant imagery within my mind. GEHMs have allowed FarCorners Studios to hire artists, produce more episodes, and has brought the universe to life. We believe we are all GEHMs, we all have some super ability within us. Our GEHMs use their superhuman abilities to share and support the FarCorners Universe."

During the I RISE campaign people will also experience the artists who bring the stories to life,a special team assembled from around the world: Arturo Gutierrez of Mexico (Lead Illustrator); J. Brian Williams of the United States (Illustrator); Rafael Lanhellas of Brazil (Illustrator); Cyrus Mesarcia of the Philippines (Penciller); Delphine Pouye of France (Colorist); Jaymes Reed of the United States (Letterer); Abdul Hadi of Pakistan (Animator); and Jasmine Battle of the United States (Audio Engineer).

FarCorners Studios' goal is for the Team Genesis story to become a multi-sequel on the big screen. In the meantime, FCS is working on developing a video series and cosplay as well as fielding inquiries for gaming and merchandising of key characters.
