Background: American Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences (ARA) was funded in 1975 in California as a non-profit organization that has a tax exemption status under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). We would like to invite you to our annual Congress and to join us in to present your ideas and achievements in the fields of literature, philosophy, medicine, social sciences, arts, engineering, mathematics, physics, and chemistry etc.  Recently, ARA has done major changes as new programs and partnerships would be implemented. This Congress brings a unique opportunity to reach out to the Romanian diaspora and to increase ARA visibility as we encourage communication and promote Romanian intellectual traditions. Last year, the 39^th ARA Congress was held in Frascati, Rome, Italy. We expect each year to accomplish more through participation and collaborations that were built during previous congresses.

This year, the ARA Congress celebrates 40 years of continued recognition and appreciation of the Romanian values, ​​worldwide promotion of scientific partnerships in Romania, Moldova and Romanian diaspora. For the past four decades, ARA contributed to scientific development and promotion of Romanian arts and sciences in the world, and brought to the forefront of international academic life's the exceptional results of Romanian diaspora. This year Keynote Speakers are Members of the Romanian Academy and Academy of Science of Moldova. Poster Session for students will be organized to include the future generation of academicians in the new ARA Youth program.

The purpose of the ARA Congress goes beyond maintaining our intellectual heritage. The Congress is a great opportunity to unify an ethnic community of intellectuals and professionals   in an effort towards creating an American-Romanian self-sustaining, scientifically and socially contributing population. Our organization capacity building effort aims to increase education, networking, and the overall sense of academic community.
