HNTB expands Austin-area presence with relocated office in Round Rock, Texas

ROUND ROCK, Texas - March 31, 2016 - PRLog -- HNTB Corporation, a national infrastructure solutions firm, has relocated its Round Rock, Texas office, expanding its presence in the state capital and helping relieve traffic congestion in the region. The office opened in February 2016.

The move comes one year after the City of Austin published its Traffic Congestion Action Plan, which directed city employees to decrease work arrivals during peak travel hours and encouraged other Austin-area employers to do the same.

"Our relocated office is significantly larger than our previous one, and accessibility is easier and better allows many HNTB employees who live in that area to use this office location instead of commuting into Austin," said Carlos Lopez, PE, HNTB South and Central Texas office leader and vice president. "As the City of Austin aims to reduce tremendous congestion on the region's roadways, HNTB is pleased to do its part in meeting this goal."

The office, located in Suite 100 of Crystal Park Plaza at 101 East Old Settlers Boulevard, is one of nine HNTB offices in Texas. Other locations include Austin downtown, Dallas, El Paso, Harlingen, Laredo, Houston, Plano and San Antonio.

This location also signals the firm's growth in the region. Currently, HNTB employs approximately 130 full time professionals in the Austin-area offices who work on some of the most high-profile infrastructure projects around the city.

HNTB's Austin operation has had a role in developing and improving some of Central Texas' most important roadways, such as U.S. Highway 183, Ben White, IH-35, 183-A toll road and others. The firm is currently involved in significant projects in the region, including the Mopac Improvement Project, the Mobility35 Program, and multiple other projects for the Texas Department of Transportation, Williamson County, Hays County and regional mobility authorities throughout Central and South Texas.
