Since this type of stain is able to penetrate the surface of the concrete, it offers incredible wear resistance and UV stability.

Property owners who are considering stained concrete should keep in mind that stains have a semi-transparent nature, which means they will not disguise the surface of the concrete but instead enhance it. Acid-etched stains will not cover up blemishes, cracks, or any other type of existing flaws. For this reason, a concrete surface with existing spalling or another type of damage usually is not a good candidate for acid-etched staining.
