By: Roxy Vintage and Handmade Fair
This popular event returns to the beautiful, historic St Andrew's Church House, Church Street in Cheddar, on Saturday 30th April, from 9.30 am - 3 pm. "We will have a wonderful selection of stalls selling gorgeous vintage clothes and accessories, and things for your house and garden," said organiser Jill Hunt, from Pick and Mix Vintage in Axbridge. "We will have high quality fashion and finery, vintage and antique jewellery, mirrors and pictures, textiles and ceramics, some delightful childhood nostalgia, homewares, gardenalia and quirky collectables as well as some unusual industrial vintage pieces. In addition, we will have a range of fabulous upcycled arts and crafts, using for example reclaimed books, wood, textiles and vintage jewellery, made by talented artisan designers and craftspeople.
"Amongst the many unusual items for sale will be some decorative salvage and luxurious ornamental pieces, with a touch of elegance and faded glamour about them. These are ideal for interior designers or anyone doing up a house and wanting to add some character."
There will be stallholders from across the Somerset region, and from Gloucester to South Wales. Established sellers returning to the event include Yvonne Cook, who runs Vintage Von in Weston-super-
Another regular trader looking forward to the event is Cheryl Curley from Vintage Village based in North Somerset. "The Roxy Fair is always a wonderful day out, with lovely traders and discerning customers. I will have a selection of fabulous and useful vintage homewares, everything from ceramics to quirky toys, and always some things that make you smile."
Also at the Roxy Vintage and Handmade Fair will be Laura Cross, from Pinny and Petticoat in Cheddar, whose stock includes an eclectic mix of vintage, retro, antique and rustic treasures. "As a trader it is always an absolute pleasure to be at the Roxy Vintage Fair and I am really looking forward to it. There's a lovely mix of sellers, and the imaginative way they lay out their stalls helps to inspire people to be creative in their homes and gardens."
